Terms and Conditions
Every body is different - and we like to provide a unique service to reflect this.
We require our clients to provide us with personal and sensitive information to allow us to fully assess and treat our clients to the best of our ability. If information is withheld from our therapists they may miss something important and not be able to provide the best treatment available.
Confidentiality and Consent
We adhere to a strict professional code of conduct which includes confidentiality and consent. This means we need your consent to assess and treat you. It also means that any information that is provided to us is treated in strictest confidence. There may be occasions when we feel that it would be in your best interests to inform your GP or another healthcare practitioner of our findings and then, only with your full consent, would we communicate with your GP, Consultant or a 3rd party. If you have been referred to us by a 3rd party then we will continue to communicate with them regarding your progress as agreed, this may include an interim or discharge report.
Cancellation
There will be no charge for services cancelled more than 24 hours in advance of the expected start time as per our Cancellation Policy. Postural Health Ltd reserves the right to charge 100% of the fee for all services cancelled within 24 hours of the expected start time, or in cases where the patient does not attend. Please note, where cancellations are notified outside office hours, these will count as being notified at 9.00am on the next working day. For the avoidance of doubt, working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, excluding bank holidays.
Deposit
We reserve the right to charge a deposit if we consider this necessary, only at our absolute discretion.
Payment
We accept credit cards, cash or cheques in clinic but sometimes people require an invoice to be sent. On these occasions, we request that the invoice is settled in full within 30 days of the invoice date. We reserve the right to charge an administration fee of £40 plus the recommended interest rate (8% plus bank of England interest rate) for any account not settled within the set time frame.
Health Insurance
Postural Health Ltd is recognised by the major health insurance companies, however we recommend that any patient wishing to use private medical insurance to pay for their physiotherapy contacts their insurer for authorisation prior to commencing treatment. Please note that the patient is responsible for paying for any treatment provided which is not covered by the insurance policy (which may include treatment cancelled with less than 24 hours notice or DNAs), as well as any excess on the policy.
3rd Parties
We do accept referrals from 3rd parties such as case management companies. There are terms and conditions agreed between Postural Health Ltd and the 3rd party. However, if for any reason the 3rd party fails to settle the invoice for treatment provided as part of an agreed treatment plan (eg the 3rd party becomes bankrupt or goes into liquidation) the patient will become liable for the costs of treatment provided.
National Audit
Postural Health Ltd are working with Physio First to audit and standardise musculo-skeletal physiotherapy provision nationally. As part of this process we have committed to the Data for Impact study which involves us sending anonymised data to the University of Brighton for inclusion in the study. Your physiotherapist may discuss this research with you and ask for your consent to send specific data (age, gender, occupation, reason for physio, treatment and results). If you wish to read more about the study please click this link Data for Impact
If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your treatment at either our physiotherapy clinic in Telford or in Wolverhampton then please contact us at your earliest convenience so that we can try to rectify the issue. Our email address is posturalhealth@aol.com
